Ian Kuali’i, eminent Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) and Shis Inday/Mescalero Apache artist, converses with Elsa Spigolon, Oceanic art historian from France and member of the Pacific art association CASOAR, about a late 18th-century Hawaiian object identified by LACMA as a hand weapon.
